I was just scolded for not posting on the blog today, so I would like to give a mini-review of my favorite television shows. Note: This is not a comprehensive list, it's an off-the-top-of-my-head list, so if I've forgotten something I may add on to the list later. But I digress. Here we go:
Veronica Mars: This show never lets me down. I look forward to every new episode without fail. People have been calling it the new Buffy, but I don't want to short Kristen Bell like that. She is her own strong character, and I don't think that she should have to share that with Sarah Michelle Gellar. Veronica Mars is part Buffy, part Nancy Drew, part 90210...it's very funny and very smart. I highly recommend it!
Lost: If you need me to tell you to watch this show, then you either never watch television or you don't like good tv shows. Lost is J.J. Abrams doing what he does best: showing us hot people in dangerous situations, and simultaneously scaring and confusing the crap out of us. I love love love this show.
Alias: Again, a J.J. Abrams show. It has an unparalleled cast, incredible action scenes, and one hell of a mysterious storyline. If I don't figure out what the hell is going on with Rambaldi, then my head will explode. I also think that Michael Vartan should become some sort of national mascot. He's damn hot.
Medium: Okay, I know you're seeing a pattern here. I like mystery shows. I like mystical shows. I like Medium because it combines the two and for the first time in her life Patricia Arquette doesn't make me hate her. I actually like her. (But don't tell her, she doesn't need a big head.)
CSI (Original and Miami): I'm not including New York because other than Gary Sinise I see no reason to watch it. Blehhhh. As for CSI the original, I am crazy about the cast, and the gory little details never get old. I love Miami for the same reasons.
Law & Order (SVU and CI): Since Jerry Orbach left and that damn Elisabeth Roehm came on I haven't been able to enjoy the original L&O. But the spin-offs are super cool. I find that people either love or hate Vincent DiNofrio (or however you spell it) in CI, but I personally love him. He's weird and cerebral and Grissom-esque, just how I like 'em.
