What is a Fuzzball?

  • One question I hear more than any other is What's a Fuzzball??" Allow me to explain:

A Fuzzball is a 30-year-old fallen debutante who lives in Houston, TX with a bossy dog and an even bossier parrot who she SWEARS is the reincarnation of Napoleon Bonaparte.

A Fuzzball prefers animals to most people, because people can really suck sometimes.

A Fuzzball loves music, ALL music ALL of the time. If she's not listening to it, then she's singing it.

A Fuzzball has a mad love for all things British, especially their actors.

A Fuzzball is blissfully happy in a bookstore, preferably one with good music playing in the background. If you look under a Fuzzball's bed you'll usually find an entire library of books that she has dropped there after falling asleep reading.

Fuzzballs are usually incurable romantics, ridiculously optimistic, and bent on making the world a happier place.

Your typical Fuzzball will probably have a completely bizarre sense of humor. Just go with it, it will take you to funny places.

You should also be aware that Fuzzballs are giant nerds. Seriously. Science fiction, computers, the whole shebang.

Fuzzballs are also budding photographers. They love looking at the world through a lens and finding new ways to be creative.

Oh...and you can also look for a Fuzzball in one of the best movies ever made. ;)

That's one thing I really like about Athens; they banned smoking in restaurants and bars a couple of years ago. You wouldn't believe how much nicer it is.

I live in Seattle; smoking in bars was recently banned here as well. It's now much more pleasant to visit bars than it used to be! :)

Hello this has nothing to do with your post. I was on Design Sponge and noticed the pic of Emma on the comments page. I was blown away in out much your pup looks like mine! This is very silly but I am dying to show you pics of my puppy Kallie because it is insane how much they look alike, especially since they are muts. And I thought I had the most beautiful pup in the world!

I was unable to email that is why I am posting this instead.

Yet another thing we have in common.

yes, you just need to go to bars anywhere but Houston. Smoke free bars are definately much easier to see in. Try Austin, I hear they went smokeless recently.

I definately need to learn to spell definitely!

I don't like the "bar atmosphere" which includes the the ambience as well as the smoking. I've been to some pubs that I like. Better than bars (and better beer). On a related note, I don't like--and have never liked---the club scene, anywhere. I was always there for the music and I got really annoyed by all the people who did the club scene for practically every reason you can think of except the music. Crowded, smoky, obnoxious people, too many people. The club scene (admittedly not in Houston) back when I tried it was basically everything I didn't like about the bar scene, with the added annoyance of ruining the experience of seeing and hearing good bands.
