I started my new job on Monday with a very large oil and gas company. I'm working with a really nice group of people and I think that this is a possible permanent position. I think. The only downside to this job is that I'm working downtown again and I HATE working downtown. But hey, it's a job, and I'm not working for crazy people like my LAST temp job. (Don't worry, I'll be posting about that one later.)
My apartment is coming along nicely, it feels very homey now. My bedroom is still pretty much of a disaster, but that's just because I have acres of clothes to wash. I'm also trying to decide on a paint color for the upstairs. Any ideas?
As for film reviews, I've watched a bunch of movies lately. I'll update on them in detail later, but here's a list:
- The Upside of Anger
- Must Love Dogs
- Grandma's Boy
- The 40-Year-Old Virgin
- Butterfield 8
- Bikini Round-Up (just wanted to see if you were paying attention ahahahaha -- seriously though, that is a real "movie" that HBO likes to show in the wee hours of the morning. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.)
I haven't seen any of these films, so reviews would be good. :-)
I take it the "Bikini" film isn't one of those wacky teenage comedies such as "How To Stuff A Wild Bikini" which used to be shown late-night in the previous century? ;-) "Beach Blanket Bingo", anyone? :-D

Dude I own ALL of those movies -- Beach Blanket Bingo, How To Stuff A Wild Bikini, Muscle Beach Party, AND Bikini Beach.
I blame my mother.

I love those old beach movies! Especially the ones with...what was his name...Tommy Kirk? Oh and who can forget Baron von Zipper! "Why me? Why me all the time?!" (which I said a LOT when I was growing up) I used to stay up late in the summer and watch them on TV. And see...I, too, turned out perfectly normal, with reasonably good taste in films as an adult. :-D

Congrats on the perm job. That must be a load off, yes? I gotta here the crazy people story from the last job.

"Butterfield 8" = Liz Taylor in a slip. Nice.
